Nick rested his elbows on the counter and his forehead in his hands. "Yes, I have an amazing career and life but I most of my time is planned." he explaining, peeking over at her. "We're trying to be normal but I wish I too could just... leave."

Stella, for once, was at a loss for words, which didn't happen too often. She gave Nick an even more confused look.
"Wait a minute. I thought you like trips with your brothers and family? Since when is Nick Lucas a loner?"

"I'm not sure if loner is the correct term, Stella." Nick smiled, laughing lightly. "I love going on the trips but they're always planned for me."

"Okay,"Stella said, skipping off upstairs. She came down one of the firepoles a few minutes later.

Stella came down faster than Nick expected. "Was he up there?" he asked. Sometimes Kevin and Stella would talk about her designs which could end up being an hour long conversation.

Nick stood and walked over to his best friend. "You'll have an amazing time." he told her, wrapping his arms around her in a hug. "You better get going if your flight is tonight. As sad as it is to have you leave, this is your dream. Never let anyone stand in your way." Nick kissed Stella's forehead like he always did, and gave her a light squeeze before releasing her.

"Thanks Nick,"Stella smiled, sadly. "I'll see you in a week...if LA doesn't kill me,"she chuckled, hovering in the doorway. She really didn't want to leave this part behind even though she'd be back soon.
